Curtin volunteers! is a non-for-profit student run organisation that have been a part of Curtin life for over 10 years. We give Curtin students, staff and the general community opportunities to interact and get to know each other through a range of innovative and ever-changing volunteering programs. Whatever your skills or experience we will find a way to help you get involved! (Why should I volunteer?)
For those of you who just want to get your hands dirty we have ongoing programs and partnerships with organisations such as the Swan River Trust, Boronia Women's Pre-Release Centre for Women, EdVentures and Swan Village of Care. Then for all of you who want to get more involved with the management aspects of volunteering we always need people to help with our Marketing, IT and resource management. Not to mention the fun that can be had as part of our social team!
However you decide to get involved with Curtin Volunteers! - whether that be in management or hands on volunteering CV!, is a great way to meet people, get involved in your community and make the most of university by getting involved in Curtin life. Working with CV! is also a great way to build up a set of skills and experiences which will make you much more attractive to potential employers when you graduate.
Each year we run several exciting events. The John Curtin Weekend runs in October, we run introductory events Volunteering 101 and 102 in the first and second semester, respectively, as well as continued Laverton trips throughout the year and of course, our worthwhile regular programs.
